1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AI Papers ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

AI Papers provides a platform that delivers daily analysis and recommendations of AI research papers. Our service includes paper summaries, personalized recommendations (Read, Skim, or Skip), trend analytics, and email digests.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be at least 16 years of age

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans and Trial

Free Trial: New users receive a 14-day free trial of our Pro plan. After the trial period ends, you will automatically be transitioned to the Basic (free) plan unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

Paid Subscriptions: Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis. You agree to pay all charges associated with your selected plan. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

Plan Changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes will take effect at the beginning of the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without authorization
  • Impersonate any person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of AI Papers and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

The research papers analyzed and summarized by our Service are the property of their respective authors and publishers. We provide summaries and analyses for informational purposes only.

7. User Content

You retain any rights you may have in content you submit, post, or display through the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

8. API Usage

If you have access to our API (available on Pro plans), you agree to:

  • Use the API in accordance with our API documentation
  • Not exceed rate limits or usage quotas
  • Not redistribute API access to third parties
  • Keep your API credentials secure

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

The paper summaries and recommendations provided by our Service are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any analysis.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI PAPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Papers and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which AI Papers is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
